Why I Like Slow Handmade Work

June 27, 2026

A short no-image journal entry about time, materials, and handmade traces.

Lately I have been thinking about why handmade objects feel different from mass-produced things.

Maybe it is because they keep a little trace of time. A fold, a stitch, a brush mark, or a small uneven edge can make an object feel more present. It reminds me that something was handled, adjusted, and finished slowly.

This kind of post does not need an image. It can simply hold a thought that belongs near the work.
