Autumn Sunset

Autumn Sunset was my very first oil painting. For this beginning, I wanted to choose a simple nature scene that would let me explore the colors and texture of oil paint without making the subject feel too complicated.

I imagined walking along a quiet trail at sunset, with the path glowing in the last golden light and leading toward the open horizon. The bright sky, green meadow, and deep autumn trees gave me a chance to experiment with warm and cool colors while creating a peaceful sense of distance.

Because it was my first experience with oils, the painting became as much about learning as it was about the landscape itself. It holds the excitement of trying a new medium and the calm feeling of following a trail as evening settles over the countryside.
