I came across another artist’s work and was immediately drawn to it. The style felt joyful and full of energy, and it made me want to try something outside my usual approach.
What I liked most was the artist’s bold use of color, simplified figures, repeating patterns, and loose, expressive brushwork. I wanted to learn how those choices could make a scene feel playful and alive without relying on realistic detail, and how color and pattern could carry the mood of a painting.
For my little twist, I filled the scene with bright berries and flowers and gave the two figures their own patterns, colors, and personality. Berry Picking became both a study of a style I admired and a cheerful scene shaped by my own hand.
