Between the Golden Seams

This painting was my first step toward a more modern kind of art. I wanted to bring together things I had seen with images that arrived more spontaneously, letting familiar details and unexpected shapes share the same space.

The painting holds pieces of my surroundings: the mountains near us, evergreen trees, and the colors of a sunset. My headphones appear among them, adding something personal and everyday to the landscape.

The separate scenes meet along bright, textured lines. Together, they turn a collection of memories, observations, and random ideas into one connected piece.
