Blossoming Radiance

Blossoming Radiance began as a careful study from a picture in a book. I started by observing the flower arrangement and making a light pencil sketch on the canvas, using the drawing stage to place the blossoms, leaves, and stems before adding color.

After the sketch was in place, I built the piece with oil paint, focusing on the contrast between soft pink petals, deeper red blooms, small yellow accents, and rich green leaves. The painting keeps a quiet, gentle feeling while still letting the colors feel full and alive.

This work was a way to practice translating a reference image into my own hand: not just copying the flowers, but learning their shapes, layering the colors, and giving the finished composition a warm, balanced presence.
