Golden Morning Haze

A quiet landscape of pale golden trees, open fields, and a road disappearing into soft morning light, drawn with tiny dashes of line as a way of trying a new style.

Golden Morning Haze uses a narrow range of warm yellows, soft greens, and cool grays to suggest a landscape seen through mist. I tried working in a new style here, building much of the image from tiny dashes of line instead of smoother, continuous shading. Those small marks give the fields, trees, and roadside a gentle texture, like the morning light is breaking the scene into quiet fragments.

The repeated marks also helped keep the forms loose. The trees stand lightly in the distance, their shapes softened by the atmosphere rather than sharply outlined. The road gives the scene a quiet direction, but its destination remains indistinct. That openness is the heart of the piece: a calm morning held just before the details fully appear.
