Reflections of Serenity began with the memory of a landscape I once visited—a place where water moved gently through golden grasses, trees gathered along the banks, and distant mountains softened into the sky. The feeling of that scenery stayed with me, and I wanted to carry it home by putting it onto canvas.
I built the painting in oil, using warm yellows and greens around the cool blue river and muted purple mountains. Rather than recreating one exact place, I painted the way I remembered it: quiet, open, and touched by light.
This work is about the landscapes that remain with us after we leave. Some places become less like precise images and more like a feeling—something calm and distant that we can return to through making.
